Entries must be completed on the Entries system. Entries will close on Monday 13th May (3rd Week) at 12:00 noon.
The scratch deadline will be 08:00 on Thursday 16th May (4th Week). Scratches after this time will be treated as withdrawals as per rule A3.7.
Substitutions maybe made on the Entries system until 08:00 Wednesday - Friday, 07:00 on Saturday. After this time substitutions must be made via Racedesk.
Entry Fees for Summer Eights 2024 are £75 per eight, £25 for any crew failing to qualify through Rowing On.

OURCs is running two briefings via Microsoft Teams ahead of the event which all marshals and umpires are required to attend. At the event itself, a summary of this briefing will be repeated but there is not enough time for complete training on the day. The times for the mandatory advance briefings are:

Umpires are also strongly encouraged to read the bank rider briefing slides.
Static Umpires
On Saturday cycling is not allowed and the Umpires will be placed along the bank as static umpires.

All bank riders for Summer Eights must have been briefed in the last 18 months on their role, legal responsibilities, and what to do in an incident.
The easiest way to receive the briefing is via the in-person meeting on Sunday 19th – see details below. If this is not possible, there will be smaller briefings at Race Desk, with more details to come closer to the date. We encourage all prospective bankriders to attend the briefing on the 19th to avoid any delays in following crews.
Briefed bank riders should come to Race Desk to sign out a bib before following their crew and then return the bib to Race Desk when finished.
