Torpids is scheduled for Wednesday 28th February to Saturday 2nd March 2024. Environmental Agency mooring closures will apply to the towpath (western) bank of the Thames from Iffley Lock up to Longbridges Boat House from 12:00 noon on Tuesday 27th until 18:00 on Saturday the 2nd.
Issues with the stream and weir mean that if we are able to run Torpids racing we can only do so from bunglines starting just above the Riverside Centre and finishing 30m downstream of the gate into the back field (the one by the red and white striped girder). The Environment Agency have confirmed that if we can run this safely on whatever stream there is on our racing dates, they will help us manually move the boats currently moored in this area even on red boards, by slinging them carefully down the bank to gaps further down. The Harbour Master's Notice for Torpids is therefore still in force unless we cancel the whole event.

Summer Eights is scheduled for Wednesday 22nd to Saturday 25th May 2024. Environmental Agency mooring closures will apply to the towpath (western) bank of the Thames from Iffley Lock up to Longbridges Boat House from 12:00 noon on Tuesday 21st until 18:00 on Saturday the 25th.
